Description
These are Sashiko (or Sashico) needles made in Japan. Sashiko is a form of Japanese embroidery that uses mainly running stitch. The needles are longer than normal to enable a number of stitches to be done at once and are especially designed with a large hole and a sharp point. Shorter needles are mainly used on light weight fabrics and are easier for beginners to use. Longer needles are suitable for heavier fabrics. Japanese Sashiko needles have two in the pack: 48 mm and 62mm. Tulip Sashiko needles have 6 needles in the pack: 2 x 44.5mm, 2 x 51.5mm and 2 x 66.7mm.
